The art of layering fragrance

Two scents can tell a third story. A short guide to pairing our compositions without losing their character.

Journal Layering

Layering is less about adding and more about framing. Choose one fragrance as the portrait and another as the light that falls on it.

Start with the heavier scent

Apply the richer composition first — an amber, a wood, a gourmand — and let it settle for a minute. Then mist the lighter one on top. The fresh notes will sparkle over the base rather than disappear into it.

Pairings we love

  • Ambre Doré + Néroli Riviera — sun on warm skin.
  • Santal Céleste + Lumière d’Iris — soft, powdery, intimate.
  • Vanille Fumée + Rose Nocturne — an evening that does not want to end.

Most of all, experiment. The discovery set exists exactly for this.
